QuickTools Privacy Policy

Developer:Santosh Khatiwada

App:QuickTools (Android package `com.santosh.quicktools`)

QuickTools provides image, PDF, and QR tools. This policy explains how the app handles your files and information.

Files you select

Image compression, resizing, conversion, photo editing, passport-size cropping and print-sheet creation, document and ID card scanning, QR code and barcode scanning, text recognition (OCR), PDF creation, compression, merging, splitting, page organizing, signing, password protection and removal, rendering, and QR generation run on your device. Passport Photo can optionally use bundled on-device face detection for framing and selfie segmentation for background replacement. QuickTools does not upload selected files or their contents to our servers. The app accesses files only when you choose them through Android's photo or document picker, share them into QuickTools from another app, capture pages with the in-app camera, or capture or import pages with the Google Play services document scanner. The smart scanner may download its on-device models and interface through Google Play services the first time it opens. OCR uses a model bundled with the app. Original files are not modified.

Generated results are held temporarily in app-private storage for preview, saving, or sharing. Temporary results are normally removed after about a day. If you choose Save, the result is written to your device's Pictures/QuickTools or Download/QuickTools folder. If you choose Share, Android sends the result to the app or recipient you select.

Permissions

QuickTools uses internet and network-state access for Google AdMob and Google Play Billing. The camera permission is requested only when you open the in-app document, ID card or QR camera; camera images are processed on your device and are not uploaded. On Android 9 and earlier, it may request storage write permission when saving a result. It does not request broad storage access on newer Android versions.

Local history and preferences

The app stores up to 20 recent operation records on your device. These records contain the tool used, file name, date, a short result summary, and the saved result location when applicable. They do not contain copies of your files. You can clear history in Settings. App preferences are stored locally. Wi-Fi passwords entered for QR codes are not saved to history. Scanned QR code and barcode contents are kept only while the scanner is open. Signatures you draw in Sign PDF are kept in app-private storage so you can reuse them, until you delete them or uninstall the app. Passwords used to lock or unlock PDFs are never stored. The My Files tab lists files QuickTools saved; it does not read other files.

Advertising and consent

The free version may show ads provided by Google AdMob. Google may process identifiers such as the advertising ID, IP-derived approximate location, app interaction information, and diagnostics to deliver and measure ads. Where required, the app asks for advertising consent and offers privacy choices in Settings. Google's explanation is at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Ads do not receive the contents of files you process.

Purchases

The optional Premium purchase is handled by Google Play. QuickTools receives purchase status so it can enable higher processing limits and disable ads. The developer does not receive your payment card details.

Accounts and children

QuickTools does not require an account. It is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes and contact
